Concept Art: Origin

Day 2. We ventured further down. Strangely enough, it's not becoming darker, but the light is somehow shifting. A few other members of our party, like me, are becoming weary. Why were we sent here? Why investigate caves nobody ever enters?

Day 3. We found something. It's in the far distance so it's hard to tell. The terrain is treacherous so we must be cautious. I'm still afraid, more so than before but somehow also excited. I want to know what it is down there. Whichever thing is causing the light, I want to know.

Day 4. I'm in shock. I do not know what to believe anymore. I'm afraid, or wait, should I be? I have questions. So many questions. Everywhere. We found...we found a vessel. It looked alien. Neither of our party members have ever seen anything like it. We believed aliens had once long ago crashed here. Until we looked inside. We found bodies. Yes, many bodies but what became clear to us all is that these were no aliens. No. These were humans.
